2005 - First Top 100 finish after first season playing predominantly on Tour (14 main draws); reached first Tour QF at Memphis (l. to Vaidisova 62 67(2) 64, saving 4mp in second set and 3mp in third before falling) and 3r twice, at Indian Wells (d. No.19 Suárez en route for first Top 20 win) and Birmingham (as qualifier); also reached 2r four times, incl. Wimbledon (as qualifier; l. to Davenport 60 63, having led 3-1 second set); made Top 100 debut on July 4 (after Wimbledon; rose from No.107 to No.86); fell 1r at US Open (l. to Craybas) and in qualifying at Australian Open and Roland Garros.

2006 - First Top 50 finish in season highlighted by reaching first Tour final at Birmingham (d. No.10 seed Zakopalova, No.8 seed Jankovic and No.4 seed Likhovtseva en route to SF, then notched 64 64 upset over top seed and two-time defending champion Sharapova; l. to Zvonareva 76(12) 76(5), having held 4sp in first set and rallied back from 4-0 second set deficit to force tie-break); afterwards on June 19, ranking surged from No.81 to No.54; QF at Tokyo [Japan Open] (l. to Nakamura); reached 3r once, at Miami (as WC, d. Harkleroad 75 67(3) 75 in 1r, overcoming 5-2 deficit and mp in third set; was historic first match with electronic line calling - Jackson was first player to use system, albeit unsuccessfully; l. to Petrova); played all four Grand Slams in same year for first time, reaching 2r at each one; notched another Top 20 win over No.14 Groenefeld (Fed Cup); made Top 50 debut on August 21 (after Montréal; rose from No.56 to No.49); ret. from Bangkok 2r match w/right adductor strain, also stopping doubles SF match; ret. during Québec City 1r match w/right groin strain; underwent right hip surgery on December 1.

2007 - Struggled in comeback from right hip surgery; withdrew from Auckland, Australian Open, Miami, Estoril, Prague and Istanbul to continue rehabilitation from December 1, 2006 surgery; went 0-6 in Tour main draws (incl. 1r losses at Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open) and fell in Toronto qualifying; played two ITF Circuit events, reaching QF at one; having begun year at No.45, dropped out of Top 50 on January 29 (after Australian Open) and Top 100 on June 11 (after Roland Garros), finishing year at No.587.
