'I tried to hold on to the moment' - Wozniacki reflects on Slam breakthrough in 2018
Caroline Wozniacki says 2018 has been "a great ride" for her after a 12 months that included her winning her first Grand Slam title.
The Dane beat Simona Halep to win the Australian Open in January, a maiden Slam success that came just weeks after she announced her engagement to basketball player David Lee.
"I tried to hold on to the moments for as long as I could," the 28-year-old told wtatennis.com. "It's been a great ride this year. [The Australian Open] was an incredible two weeks.
"We had such an amazing time. I feel like everything together, with me off the court feeling so happy and feeling like my game was clicking - that combination and the positive energy I had in Australia definitely helped me win the trophy."
