Consistent Kvitova hopes for more fun, fond memories in Montréal
MONTRÉAL, Canada - Petra Kvitova is enjoying a consistent season so far - and hopes to continue her good form at the Rogers Cup.
The Czech has won tournaments on hard courts, clay, and grass in 2018 - and as the tour begins its North American swing, she is working to maintain her progress.
"I'm really happy with how everything is working, that I'm healthy, and that I can play," she told wtatennis.com in a pre-tournament interview. "It's been great so far."
Kvitova was the 2012 Rogers Cup champion, beating Li Na in an epic final, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3, and has great memories of competing in the tournament.
"It was a fun tournament for me [in 2012]," she added. "It's always very tough and the field is just amazing."
