Wozniacki ready for Rogers Cup return after breaking Toronto 'curse'

MONTRÉAL, Canada - Australian Open champion Caroline Wozniacki View Profile is pleased to be back on a hard court - and is raring to go at the Rogers Cup after smashing her losing streak in Toronto with her impressive run to the final last year.
"It was nice to break that curse and go all the way to the final," the Dane reminisced. She finished as runner-up to Elina Svitolina View Profile in 2017, losing 6-4, 6-0 in the final.
But after winning her maiden Grand Slam on the hard court in Melbourne in January, the 28-year-old is all set to return to a surface where she feels very comfortable - and confident.
"It feels great to be back on the hard court," she added. "I'm excited to be here, and I'm hoping for a good run."
