A week ago, Johanna Larsson's ranking had fallen to No.97 - the Swede's lowest position in four years. But last week at the Nurnberger Versicherungs Cup, the 29-year-old rebounded in fine style with her second career trophy.

A battling title run included three-set victories over Kristyna Pliskova in the quarterfinals and Katerina Siniakova in the semifinals, and was sealed with a 7-6(4), 6-4 defeat of Alison Riske in the final. The result marks Larsson's second career title following victory at home in Bastad in 2015 - and improves her record in title rounds to 2-3, having lost her first three finals between 2010 and 2013.

Here are some of this week's most notable ranking movers:

Naomi Osaka (+1, 21 to 20): The Indian Wells champion was not in action last week, but makes her Top 20 debut after Kiki Bertens failed to defend her Nurnberg title. Osaka is the first Japanese player to be ranked in the Top 20 since Ai Sugiyama in July 2006, and just the fifth player from her country to reach this milestone overall following Kazuko Sawamatsu, Kimiko Date, Naoko Sawamatsu and Sugiyama.

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (+3, 31 to 28): The Russian turned around a lean year in style by winning the Internationaux de Strasbourg title last week: entering the tournament, she had compiled a mere 5-10 win-loss record in 2018. Having started the year as World No.15, Pavlyuchenkova's 12th career title sees her re-enter the Top 30.

Dominika Cibulkova (+4, 36 to 32): A second final of the season once again ended in defeat for the Slovak, who was defeated by Alison Van Uytvanck in Budapest and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in Strasbourg. Having been ranked World No.7 this time last year, though, Cibulkova is once again heading in the right direction.

Johanna Larsson (+38, 97 to 59): Two weeks ago, Larsson lost the Swedish No.1 position that she had held since June 2013 to Top 100 debutante Rebecca Peterson. It didn't take long for the 29-year-old to snatch it back with a title run in Nurnberg. Larsson is just 14 places off her career high of No.45, set in September 2016.

Alison Riske (+22, 105 to 83): Prior to last week, Riske had only won consecutive main draw matches on clay once in her career - a quarterfinal showing in Nurnberg last year. This year, the American went two better in the German town, notching up wins over Yulia Putintseva and Kirsten Flipkens to make her sixth career final. Having fallen out of the Top 100 in January for the first time in five years, the result sees the 27-year-old firmly ensconced within it again.

Fanny Stollar (+38, 203 to 165): For the third time in her young career, the 19-year-old Hungarian qualified, defeated a seed and won two main draw matches in a WTA tournament. Having reached the third round in Charleston for two years running, beating Elena Vesnina in 2017 and Johanna Konta this year, Stollar ousted No.4 seed Zhang Shuai in the first round of Nurnberg and proceeded to make her maiden WTA quarterfinal. As a result, the former junior World No.7 cracks the Top 200 for the first time.

Elena Rybakina (+24, 219 to 195): Another former junior standout breaking new ground last week was 18-year-old Rybakina. The Russian turned heads in February when she defeated Caroline Garcia to make the quarterfinals in St. Petersburg, and made her first WTA main draw appearance since then as a lucky loser in Strasbourg. A first-round victory over Andrea Gamiz propelled the former junior World No.3 into the Top 200 for the first time, having started the year all the way down at No.425.
