MATCH POINTS
Alison Riske has won both previous meetings with Johanna Larsson, prevailing in straight sets in Barnstaple in 2010 and again in Guangzhou four years later.
Johanna Larsson is featuring in her first final of 2018, having previously made three quarterfinal appearances - in Trnava, Bogota and Budapest.
Alison Riske is also playing her first final of the year, also having never made it past the last eight previously. The American reached the quarterfinals in Hobart, where she lost to Mihaela Buzarnescu.
Both of Saturday's singles finalists have one WTA singles title to their name. Johanna Larsson hopes to add to her success in Bastad in 2015 - when she overcame Mona Barthel - while Alison Riske won in Tianjin against Belinda Bencic the previous year.
Johanna Larsson is taking part in a Nurnberg final for the third year in succession. The Swede won the doubles event alongside Kiki Bertens in 2016 before returning last year with Kirsten Flipkens - this time losing the final.
