Qualifier Aliona Bolsova led Hsieh Su-Wei by a set and 3-0, then 5-3, but ultimately needed a third set and five match points to close out their first-round tie at the Courmayeur Ladies Open. It was former World No.88 Bolsova's first WTA main draw win since Bogota in April.
