Birmingham: Qualifier McNally upsets Mertens for 3rd career Top 30 win
Qualifier Caty McNally, a quarterfinalist in 's-Hertogenbosch last week, continued her strong grass season by upsetting No.4 seed Elise Mertens in the first round of the Rothesay Classic. McNally had not won a set from Mertens in their two previous meetings.
