Eastbourne: No.2 seed Garcia holds off Brengle in first round
Caroline Garcia of France fended off a second-set surge by qualifier Madison Brengle before notching a 6-1, 7-5 opening-round win at the Rothesay International on Tuesday. Garcia will face another qualifier, Ana Bogdan, in the second round.
