Coaching Career Highlights:
• 
Helped Krunic jump more than 100 spots from No.147 in 2016 to a career-high in 2018 of No.39, winning titles at 2017 Bol 125K and 2018 ‘s-Hertogenbosch as well as finishing runner-up at 2017 Guangzhou
• First worked with Bertens as interim coach at 2018 Charleston where she went on to win the title
• Later, joined Bertens’ team sharing the workload with head coach Raemon Sluiter before taking over full-time at the end of 2019
• With Tamaëla and Sluiter, Bertens solidified her spot in the Top 10 by winning the most prestigious tournament of her career at 2019 Madrid as well as a title at 2019 St. Petersburg and runner-up finishes at ‘s-Hertogenbosch and Palermo
• Served as the sole coach for Bertens at the 2019 Shiseido WTA Finals in Shenzhen, who qualified as an alternate and went 1-1 in group play beating World No.1 and eventual champion Ashleigh Barty. Also accompanied her to the 2019 WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai where she finished runner-up to Aryna Sabalenka

Tamaëla started playing professionally in 1999 on the ITF circuit, amassing a total of eight ITF singles titles and nine doubles titles. Earned career high ranking of No.129 on Feb 12, 2007, winning one ITF title that year as well as playing in the maid draw at Guangzhou. Made WTA main draw debut in 2002 at home tournament in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and earned her first WTA main draw victory at 2003 Pattaya City. Played on the Dutch Fed Cup Team from 2003-05. Took a break from playing from 2007-2009 before officially retiring in 2011.

Personal:
Born in Tiel, Netherlands. Father was the son of Indonesian immigrants from Maluku Islands. Started playing tennis at age 4. After retirement, worked as a physiotherapist for three and a half years in Amsterdam before starting to work with Krunic in 2016. Has a 6-year-old son. Enjoys reading, nature and spending time with her family. Speaks Dutch, German and English.
