WASHINGTON, DC, USA - Top seed Caroline Wozniacki was forced to withdraw from the Citi Open on Tuesday ahead of her first round match.
The Australian Open champion and World No.2 was slated to play Ukrainian qualifier Anhelina Kalinina in Tuesday's evening session to begin her North American summer, but pulled out of the event with a right leg injury.

The Dane was set to make her second-ever appearance in the U.S. capital, having lost in the second round of the tournament in 2016 to Australia's Samantha Stosur, and compete in her first tournament since a second-round exit at Wimbledon.
She is replaced in the draw by Belgian lucky loser Ysaline Bonaventure.
