She has five titles to her name this season, and now, Petra Kvitova is No.2 in the Porsche Race to Singapore.

The Czech supplanted Australian Open champion Caroline Wozniacki for the second spot in the Race this week following her second straight title at the Nature Valley Classic in Birmingham.

The Dane, who was in the top spot after winning her first Grand Slam in Melbourne but was passed by World No.1 Simona Halep in May, had been solidly in the second spot since then until Kvitova's move.

With her lofty status in the Race, the 2011 year-end champion looks to qualify for the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global for the first time since 2015.

"[It] doesn't matter what happen in Wimbledon. I'm already pleased with this part of the season," Kvitova told reporters after the victory.

"I couldn't imagine to have five titles this time of the year, so I'm pretty happy already."

There was no other movement in the Top 8 this week, but Daria Kasatkina and Elise Mertens swapped spots at the bottom of the Top 10 after the Russian advanced one round further than the Belgian in Birmingham.

Elsewhere, Birmingham runner-up Magdalena Rybarikova was rewarded for her showing at the Premier-level event by halving her standing in the Race, as the Slovak moves up 26 spots to No.27, while the woman she conquered in the semifinals - Barbora Strycova - rises eight places to No.26.
