The success of Madison Keys in Cincinnati at the weekend propeled the American up 16 places in the Porsche Race to Shenzhen this week.

The 24-year-old won the fifth and biggest title of her career, lifting the Western & Southern Open on Sunday after defeating a resurgent Svetlana Kuznetsova in the final. The American's triumph has resulted in her charging up the leaderboard, rising 16 places to No.13.

Reigning WTA Finals singles champion Elina Svitolina sits just one place out from the Top 8 qualification spots at No.9 as she looks to defend her crown.

Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Demi Schuurs hold onto No.8 on the Doubles Leaderboard with their runner-up finish in Cincinnati, while their conquerors, Lucie Hradecka and Andreja Klepac, moved up to No.13 after their success.

With just 16 of the 57 qualifying tournaments remaining ahead of the Shiseido WTA Finals Shenzhen, the race to make the final eight is hotting up. 

The Top eight singles players and doubles teams of the year will secure a place at the China tournament, taking place from October 27 to November 3, with the leading singles player on the season-ending leaderboard presented with a new Porsche to mark the achievement.
