MATCH POINTS

Donna Vekic has dropped two sets en route to Sunday's final, the Croat taken the distance by Dalila Jakupovic in the opening round and again by ninth seed Tatjana Maria in the semifinals.

Both Caroline Garcia and Jennifer Brady had dropped a set each before facing each other in the other semifinal.

Victory for 2017 champion Vekic would put the trophy in Croatian hands for a third year in five, following Ana Konjuh's success in 2015 also.

Vekic is competing in her second final of 2019, having lost in St. Petersburg to Kiki Bertens. She hopes to replicate her Nottingham success of two years ago, when she overcame home favorite Johanna Konta.

Three of the last four finals at Nottingham have gone to three sets. Garcia made the final in Strasbourg but is yet to win a title in 2019.
