MATCH POINTS

Alison van Uytvanck and Maria Sakkari have had a head-to-head marred by injury. They were scheduled to play their first match at the WTA 125K Series event at Bol, Croatia, in 2017, but Sakkari advanced via walkover. Two weeks later, they contested their only meeting to date, at a Challenger event in Ilkley, Great Britain, and van Uytvanck advanced when Sakkari retired while trailing 3-0 in the final set.

Sakkari is into her first semifinal of the year. Van Uytvanck claimed her third career singles title in February when she successfully defended her Budapest crown.

Johanna Konta has won two of her three meetings against Ajla Tomljanovic. All three of their prior encounters have come on hardcourt in Australia, at Brisbane last year and this year, and at the Australian Open this year as well. Konta won their most recent match at 2019's first major, needing the newly-added final-set tiebreak in Melbourne to do so.

Former Top 5 player Konta is into her first semifinal of the year, having saved three match points in her first-round match against Wang Yafan. Tomljanovic reached the final at Hua Hin for her best 2019 result to date; she lost that match to Dayana Yastremska in a final-set tiebreak.

The doubles final will be contested between the top-seeded team of Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez and Sara Sorribes Tormo against unseeded Georgina Garcia Perez and Oksana Kalashnikova. This is the second straight year Garcia Perez has reached the Rabat doubles final; she and Fanny Stollar fell in the 2018 championship match to Anna Blinkova and Raluca Olaru.
