MATCH POINTS
This will be the first meeting between Amanda Anisimova and Astra Sharma. Sharma has made her first WTA singles quarterfinal and semifinal showings this week.
Both players are seeking their first WTA title: the 17-year-old American lost to Hsieh Su-wei in the Hiroshima final last year. The last WTA final between two players who had never previously won a title was Mihaela Buzarnescu's defeat of Maria Sakkari in San Jose last year. The winner will become the 11th first-time champion in Bogota's 22nd edition.

Before her run to the Bogota final, Anisimova, a Roland Garros junior finalist, had gone two years without scoring a win on clay.
Meanwhile, it’s Sharma’s career first WTA level final in just her third main draw. The Aussie made her WTA main draw debut as a qualifier at the Australian Open, and also qualified for Charleston last week. This time last year, Sharma was ranked World No.396; a title would see her make her Top 100 debut next week.

Regardless of the result, Sharma will still walk away with a trophy in Bogota: she won the doubles title yesterday, partnered with compatriot Zoe Hives. They defeated Hayley Carter and Ena Shibahara, 6-1, 6-2 in the final.

This season’s historic streak of unique winners is guaranteed to continue. There have been 16 players who have lifted trophies this season, and not a single repeat champion. With the finalists set in Bogota and Lugano, the streak will extend to 18 tournaments and 18 unique winners.
