Birmingham: Zhang reaches 6th career final; 2nd on grass, 2nd of 2022
No.8 seed Zhang Shuai overcame No.6 seed Sorana Cirstea in a third-set tiebreak in the Rothesay Classic semifinals to reach her sixth career final. It is also Zhang's second final of 2022 (following her Lyon title) and second career final on grass (following Nottingham 2021).
