Panna Udvardy upset No.2 seed Tatjana Maria in the first round of the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships, saving two match points serving at 5-6 in the third set before triumphing in a deciding tiebreak. The result was the first Top 50 win of Udvardy's career.
