Paolini sweeps past Sakkari into second WTA 1000 quarterfinal
Jasmine Paolini came from a break down in both sets to upset No.8 seed Maria Sakkari in the third round of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. The result was Paolini's second Top 20 win of 2024 (and ninth overall), and the Italian moved into her second WTA 1000 quarterfinal following Cincinnati 2023.
