No.15 seed Paula Badosa earned a hard-fought 7-5, 7-5 victory over qualifier Rebecca Sramkova in the third round of the China Open on Sunday. Badosa saved a pair of set points in the second set en route to her 21st hard-court win of the season. Last week's Hua Hin champion Sramkova had won nine straight matches, spanning main-draw and qualifying victories.
