Coaching Career Highlights:
• 
In spring 2010, graduated from hitting partner to coach of Vera Zvonareva, whom he helped reach the final at both Wimbledon and the US Open later that year, before advancing to the semifinals of the following season’s Australian Open
• Led Zvonareva into the Top 10, peaking at No.2 in the rankings, winning the Premier-level title at Doha and appearing in five other finals
• Doubles runner-up at Wimbledon in 2010 – Vera Zvonareva (w/Elena Vesnina)
• Joined forces with a teenage Margarita Gasparyan in 2012, leading her to three consecutive ITF Circuit titles and a jump of over 600 places in the WTA rankings
• Helped Veronika Kudermetova successfully transition from a leading junior to the Top 50 in the WTA rankings
• Alongside Demekhine, Kudermetova enjoyed a breakthrough in 2019, making the semifinals at ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Hiroshima and Tianjin and the third round at Roland Garros
• Doubles champion at Wuhan in 2019 – Veronika Kudermetova (w/Duan Ying-Ying)

Playing Experience:
Played on tour between 2001 and 2009, winning one ITF Circuit singles title and peaking at No.673. In doubles, won eight titles at ITF level and broke into the Top 500 in October 2005. Also a multiple junior national champion.

Personal:
Played and then coached abroad at the academies of Alberto Castellani and Tarik Benhabiles before returning home to take up a role as coach at one of Moscow’s leading tennis clubs CSKA. Graduated from MGAFK (Moscow Government University of Physical Culture) in 2006 and also qualified as a GPTCA A-Level International Coach. Away from the court, interests include history and sociology. Married Veronika Kudermetova in 2017. Speaks Russian, English & Italian.
