TAIPEI CITY, Chinese Taipei - Second seed Luksika Kumkhum continued her campaign at the Taipei Open, beating fifth seed Nao Hibino 6-3, 6-1 in their quarterfinal clash.

The serve was the difference - with the Thai winning 84 per cent of points on her first serve and 80 per cent on her second compared to her opponents 51 and 39 respectively.

Kumkhum has still not dropped a set this week, and will next face Bibiane Schoofs, who secured her semifinal place when Tereza Martincova retired from their match with the score at 7-6(3), 3-0 to the Dutchwoman.

Germany's Sabine Lisicki's run carries on after beating Liang En-shuo 6-4, 6-0.

She will play sixth seed Vitalia Diatchenko in the semifinal, who defeated Zhu Lin 6-1, 6-0.
