BOL, Croatia - No.4 seed and former French Open finalist Sara Errani charged into the last four at the Croatia Bol Open on Friday with a 6-1, 6-4 win over a second Sara -- in Spain's Sara Sorribes Tormo.

The former World No.5 bounced back with a comprehensive showing in the last eight after needing three sets to get past Bulgarian World No.135 Viktoriya Tomova in Thursday's second round, breaking the World No.114 four times over the course of 85 minutes to move into her second semifinal of the season at WTA 125K level.

The Italian was the champion at the WTA 125 event in Indian Wells in the spring ahead of the BNP Paribas Open, where she came through qualifying and won seven matches with the loss of just one set.

In Saturday's semifinals, Errani will face the winner of the winner of Friday's last quarterfinal between No.2 seed Magda Linette and No.7 seed Viktorija Golubic.

With two seeds guaranteed to clash in one semifinal, the other semifinal match is one of opportunity, as unseeded Tamara Zidansek and wildcard Tena Lukas each recorded surprise victories in the quarterfinals.

Lukas ousted No.8 seed Mariana Duque-Marino in three sets, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 to keep her dream run going on home soil, and the World No.318 will next face Slovenia's Tamara Zidansek, who upset No.5 seed and Bogota champion Anna Karoline Schmiedlova, 6-4, 6-4.

More to come...
