PARIS, France - Two time champions Venus and Serena Williams are back in the doubles draw in Paris.
The Americans were one of six teams to be given a wildcard into this year's women's doubles event, announced by the tournament on Thursday.
The Williams sisters raised the trophy together on their debut in 1999 and again in 2010 for two of their 14 Grand Slams as a team.
However, in the years since, the sisters have only featured in two doubles draws in Paris, losing in the first round in 2013 and the third round in 2016.
The pair have not played doubles together at a Grand Slam since winning Wimbledon in 2016.

Most notable among the rest of the doubles entry list is the split between Russians Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina, who currently sit just five points shy of Latisha Chan for the World No.1 ranking.
Vesnina will partner with 2016 singles champion Jelena Ostapenko, while Makarova will play with compatriot Anna Kalinskaya.
Lucie Safarova and Bethanie Mattek-Sands are the defending champions, but will also play with different partners. Mattek-Sands will play with Chan, while Safarova - working her way back after an extended illness - will play with Svetlana Kuznetsova.
