INDIAN WELLS, CA, USA - Sara Errani and Kateryna Bondarenko, a pair of WTA veterans, will battle it out in the final of the Oracle Challenger Series event at Indian Wells.

Errani, a former French Open finalist, scored a 6-4, 6-2 victory over young American Amanda Anisimova to reach her first tournament final since her 2016 victory at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.

Despite the loss, Anisimova will still get a sweet consolation prize. By winning in the quarterfinals, the reigning US Open junior champion had already clinched a main draw wildcard into the BNP Paribas Open; along with Danielle Collins, she was one of the two Americans who had accumulated most points in the Oracle Challenger Series.

Awaiting Errani in the final is Ukrainian player Kateryna Bondarenko, another WTA veteran who edged past a younger opponent. Bondarenko survived a tight opening set against Ajla Tomljanovic to win 7-5, 6-3.

In doubles, Yanina Wickmayer and Taylor Townsend claimed the Indian Wells 125K crown, taking down Jennifer Brady and Vania King 6-4, 6-4.
