Van Uytvanck seeks her third WTA singles title. She is 2-0 in WTA finals, having defeated Timea Babos to win the Quebec City championship in 2017 for her first-ever trophy.
Vondrousova is also undefeated in WTA finals. She won her only previous final, beating Anett Kontaveit to win in Biel in 2017.

This is only the second tournament of the year for Vondrousova. The 19-year-old defeated Evgeniya Rodina in the first round of the Australian Open before falling to Petra Martic
Van Uytvanck had a 2-5 win-loss record coming into Budapest, and had not reached a quarterfinal on the season before her run this week.
Hungary's Fanny Stollar will aim to defend her doubles title in her home country, as she pairs with Heather Watson
