Resurgent Swiss Belinda Bencic announced her return to the WTA's elite in a big way with a run to the title in Dubai in February, where she knocked off four Top 10 players to win the Premier 5 event - and because of that, she's your WTA Player of the Month.

Bencic won her third career WTA singles title at Dubai, defeating former champion Kvitova in the final as the last of four consecutive wins against the WTA elite.

Beginning in the round of 16, Bencic defeated Aryna Sabalenka after she saved six match points, before taking our Simona Halep in the quarterfinals, and Elina Svitolina in the semifinals.

With the victory, the former World No.7 returned to the Top 30 for the first time since September of 2016.

"This is definitely the fittest I've ever felt. I think it's showing a lot in my game. I definitely need it. I think we did amazing work over there last year," Bencic said after winning the title.

"We did amazing work. It showed."
