- Won four Grand Slam singles titles: 1987 Australian Open, 1985 US Open, 1981 Roland Garros, 1980 Australian Open; also runner-up at Wimbledon in 1981 and 1986... At 1985 US Open, became first player to defeat Evert and Navratilova at same tournament since Austin in Dec 1981... Only player to defeat Navratilova in 129 matches from 1983 Eastbourne-1984 Australian Open quarterfinals... Participated in WTA Finals eight times; best result came in 1985 when she advanced to semifinals... Led Czechoslovakia to three consecutive Fed Cup titles (1983-85)... Inducted into International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1994... Known for her graceful, athletic game... Coached fellow Czech Jana Novotna to Wimbledon title in 1998...
