Birmingham: Ruse bests Wang Qiang in 2 overtime tiebreaks
Elena-Gabriela Ruse advanced in two tiebreaks over Wang Qiang in the first round of the Rothesay Classic. The second, the joint-longest in a Hologic WTA Tour main draw match this year, saw Ruse save three set points before converting her fifth match point to win it 14-12.
