Madrid: Mirra Andreeva, 15, upsets Fernandez for first tour-level win
Mirra Andreeva, 15, extended her unbeaten pro record in 2023 to 14-0 with a straight-sets upset of Leylah Fernandez in the first round of the Mutua Madrid Open. Andreeva, fresh off winning two consecutive ITF W60 titles, was playing a Top 50 opponent for the first time and scored her first WTA main draw win.
