Krunic wins battle of old-school grass-court style vs. Ponchet

2018 champion Aleksandra Krunic came from a set down to defeat qualifier Jessika Ponchet in the first round of the Libéma Open, a match heavy on old-school grass-court finesse. The result was Krunic's first tour-level win since the 2022 US Open.
