Navarro holds off Townsend in Toronto, makes first WTA 1000 semifinal

No.8 seed Emma Navarro notched a 6-3, 7-6(5) victory over lucky loser Taylor Townsend in an all-American quarterfinal at the National Bank Open on Saturday. With the win, 23-year-old Navarro moved into the first WTA 1000 semifinal of her career.
