Hello again everybody.
I just came from my second round match against Ayumi Morita. I was able to win, 62 61, but it was tough, because not only is she a good player but it was really windy today, and on clay if it's windy you can get some bad bounces.
Ayumi and I have had some tough matches in the past. She has beaten me on clay, so I knew I had to be ready. Also, we had a long match in the third round of the Australian Open this year. I love that tournament and played a lot in the weeks leading up to it, so I was a bit tired. We went to three sets but I was able to win, which was great. It's not common I play against other players with two hands on both sides, but I don't change anything in my game when I do.
I don't have singles tomorrow but I do have doubles. I'm playing with Zheng Jie here. We might be playing doubles together at the Olympics next year so I think they want us to play some tournaments together! She's a really good player.
Thank you for reading and have a nice day :)
What are your goals for the rest of the year? Adam, USA
Now that I'm in Top 30, I can start thinking about how to get to Top 20, but I don't really want to put this kind of target. I just want to keep trying to play well every match and stay healthy and the ranking will hopefully keep improving.
