... Disney World! It wasn't the happiest of endings for Zhang Shuai in Taipei, but she'll begin some much-needed holidays here this week and will eventually end up at the happiest place on Earth.

Hello again everyone,

My body didn't cooperate with me today, unfortunately, and I had to retire during my first match. I felt some pain in my arm after Nanjing last week, and I'm starting to feel fatigue and pain in my shoulder, arm, elbow, wrist and neck. I think maybe I've played a little bit too much in the past few months.

It's a pity I wasn't able to play more here but the good thing is I can start holidays now!

I will stay in Taipei for a few days to do some sightseeing, though. It's my first time here, so I'm really excited to start my holidays here! And then I'll go back to my home in Tianjin, and then I'm going to Disney World In Orlando! After that I'll stay in Florida for training - I like training down there, the weather is really nice there - it's actually the perfect weather for off-season training.

Tonight we're going out to eat at the famous Taipei night market! I want to try some real local food. I watched some TV shows about the local food here, which has made me really eager to try it all...

And then I'll head to bed - I had a really good sleep last night, it's a very nice hotel.

So I'll talk to you all again soon... my first tournament of the new season is in Shenzhen in the first week of the year, so it's not too far away... and I like playing in China, so I'm already excited!

Have a good night and thank you for reading this week :)
