Mauresmo withdraws as France Davis Cup captain

Two-time Grand Slam champion Amélie Mauresmo has decided not to take up the captaincy of France's Davis Cup side.
Instead, she will coach compatriot Lucas Pouille.
Very happy to have @AmeMauresmo as my coach! 🙌 She has the experience and the skills to help me reach my goals. I’m convinced great things are ahead of us! ;) #Allez 💪🏻 https://t.co/ZR169WSYTy

The 39-year-old had been offered the captaincy in June following the departure of Yannick Noah, but she announced yesterday that she will be focusing on her singles coaching instead.
She has previously enjoyed a successful spell with former World No.1 Andy Murray, and has also served as captain of France's Fed Cup team.
