September 2018 Player of the Month: Aryna Sabalenka

She stormed to her biggest career title in the month of September, and you rewarded Aryna Sabalenka for it.

The 20-year-old Belarusian nabbed nearly 80 percent of the fan vote en route to being named the WTA Player of the Month for September.

She won six matches at the Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open to double her number of career titles.

That streak included another Top 10 victory over Elina Svitolina in the second round, and didn't drop a set in her last four matches.

She also defeated American Sofia Kenin, Dominika Cibulkova, and 2017 runner-up Ashleigh Barty to reach the final, where she came out the victor in an all-unseeded affair against Estonia's Anett Kontaveit.

The Belarusian rose to a career-high ranking of World No.16 as a result of the win, and her triumph placed her ahead of Tokyo champion Karolina Pliskova and runner-up Naomi Osaka in the fans' favor.
