Serena Williams and Carlos Alcaraz will kick off their campaign for the US Open mixed doubles title Tuesday against qualifiers and former doubles world No. 1s Erin Routliffe and Lloyd Glasspool.

This is only Serena's fifth tournament since her comeback in June, but the former world No. 1 and 23-time Grand Slam singles champion is restricting herself to women's doubles, alongside sister Venus Williams, and mixed doubles in New York. For Alcaraz, this will be his first tournament since Barcelona in April after being sidelined by a wrist injury.
