TASHKENT, Uzbekistan - Second seed Timea Babos reeled off another straight-sets win to secure her place in the final of the Tashkent Open, beating Belarus's Aryna Sabalenka 6-1, 6-4.

She will face Kateryna Bondarenko, who beat Vera Zvonareva when the former World No.2 retired from the match at 6-7(7) 1-4 down.

Both Bondarenko and Zvonareva played two matches in the space of a few hours after yesterday's schedule was affected by rain. The Ukrainian won a three-set quarterfinal against Kurumi Nari, 6-2, 5-7, 6-4, while the Russian had a straight-sets win against Aleksandra Krunic, 6-4, 6-3.

Babos has another final to play as well, in the doubles, after she and partner Andrea Hlavackova beat Irina Khromacheva and Ipek Soylu 6-2, 6-3.

They will face Nao Hibino and Oksana Kalashnikova, who were triumphant over Bondarenko and Krunic, 6-4, 3-6, 1-0(10).

Hibino and Kalashnikova had earlier beaten Ana Bogdan and Stefanie Voegele 6-2, 6-3.
