CoCo Vandeweghe’s run to the final of the Hengqin Life WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai sealed her debut in the Top 10 of the rankings.

The 25-year-old has had an exceptional 2017, making the Top 20 for the first time after the Australian Open, reaching the quarterfinals of three Grand Slams – including a run to the semifinals of the US Open.

The American now moves up two places to take the No.10 spot. Meanwhile, Zhuhai champion Julia Goerges climbs four to a career-best No.14 as she extended her winning streak to nine matches and sealed back-to-back titles for the first time in her career.

Although there is little movement in the rankings this week, there were some other notable risers this week:

Ashleigh Barty (+3, No.20 to No.17): The Australian made it to the semifinals in Zhuhai after an excellent display in the round-robin stages, beating both Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Angelique Kerber to top the Rose Group.

Kristie Ahn (+9, No.115 to No.106): The American beat Danielle Collins 6-4, 6-4 to win the RBC Pro Challenge and move to a new career-high ranking. The 25-year-old was seeded fourth there, and beat seventh seed Irina Falconi in the semifinal, 7-5, 6-3.
