TORONTO, Canada - Sometimes the tennis match is only half the battle as players go from tracking tough shots to answering tough questions in press conferences.

How do the game's best emerge unscathed? The Rogers Cup's biggest stars came together to provide a fool-proof, tongue-in-cheek tutorial in Media Training 101.

Led by World No.1 Ashleigh Barty, the video also features defending Coupe Rogers champion Simona Halep and 2017 Rogers Cup winner Elina Svitolina, as well as former World No.1s Maria Sharapova, Naomi Osaka, and Karolina Pliskova, 2017 US Open champion Sloane Stephens, reigning Western & Southern Open winner Kiki Bertens, and hometown favorites Eugenie Bouchard and Bianca Andreescu, who is playing in Canada for the first time since winning the BNP Paribas Open.

"Always give your cell phone to your agent, so you can't take selfies during a press conference," suggests Bouchard.

"Don't be afraid to speak your mind," encourages Sharapova. "We want to know how you feel."

"Show some personality," says Halep. "Add some color to your stories!"

The players also turn the tables on the media, offering some advice of their own.

"Know your Elinas, from your Karolinas, from your Marias!"
