The unseeded Zheng Qinwen captured her second Hologic WTA Tour title following Palermo in July, and first at WTA 500 level, on home soil at the Bank of Communications Zhengzhou Open. Zheng overcame 0-2 prior records to defeat Maria Sakkari and Anhelina Kalinina, then came from a set down to defeat Barbora Krejcikova in the final.
