The Spaniard finished nine seasons inside the Top 100 and reached a career-high singles ranking of No.40 on September 11, 2006 before retiring in 2016. Dominguez captured two WTA singles titles and six doubles titles, as well as 17 titles on the ITF Circuit throughout the course of her professional career. Posted her best Grand Slam results by reaching the third round at Roland Garros in 2009 and the US Open in 2010. Was also a part of the Spanish Fed Cup Team from 2006-09 and 2011-13.

Was introduced to tennis at the age of 9 and turned professional in 1996, aged 15. Is one of 10 children; siblings are José, Javier, Enrique, Carmen, Isabel, Patricia, Sara, Natalia and María.
