MIAMI, FL, USA - Eight-time grand slam champion and Olympic gold medalist Bethanie Mattek-Sands has added a new title to her resume: fashion designer.
The American and global tennis brand Lucky in Love have partnered for a series of limited-edition capsule collections which will debut next year.

The first of the series will debut on Jan. 1, 2019, and the brand is collaborating with a top tennis professional for the first time.
Lucky in Love and Mattek-Sands have teamed up to create a series of outfits that transcend the American's trademark unorthodox style and fearless personality, merged with the brand’s modern approach to tennis apparel.
In alignment with next year’s Grand Slam tournaments and other major tennis events, her capsule collections will redefine women’s tennis fashion by bringing versatile styles that can be worn from sport to leisure.
The collaboration kicks off with the Australian Open Capsule Collection, designed and inspired by the former World No.1's eclectic style and bold tattoos.
The four-piece line will introduce a new high-waist skirt that merges fashion and function, featuring smoother fabrics and more comfortable fitting mesh inserts, the newest style will also provide better movement on the court.
The outfits include mesh crop tops and a "Love Down Under" limited-edition bomber jacket that pays homage to Australia's blackbird. This exclusive jacket will be sold for a limited time with only 100 pieces available for purchase.
The Bethanie Mattek-Sands + Lucky in Love series will continue launching new styles throughout 2019. The first Australian Open Capsule collection is available for pre-order on Dec. 15, 2018, and officially launches on Jan. 1, 2019, two weeks before the tournament begins.
