Meanwhile, Svitolina, who was beaten in the third round at Roland Garros, says her main aim for the grass-court season is to remain injury-free despite feeling better and stronger than ever.

"I am working on being more aggressive and dominating the game," she said. "My serve is better than before and so are my ground strokes. I am feeling stronger and moving better and I feel a more mature player than before."

She also talked about living in London and how it has made her understand what makes Wimbledon so special.

"It is the first time I will be playing at Wimbledon since moving to London and I am sure it is going to feel more like a home tournament," she said.

When discussing the various traditions at Wimbledon - such as the all-white kit - Svitolina praised the approach, saying "Wimbledon is a tournament where the rules are quite strict and I think that's part of what makes it so special."

Both Halep and Svitolina are scheduled to compete at Wimbledon, which begins Monday, July 2.
