PARIS, France - Gabriela Dabrowski is through to the French Open mixed doubles final for the second year in a row, pairing with Mate Pavic to defeat Katarina Srebotnik and Santiago Gonzalez in straight sets.
The top seeds Dabrowski and Pavic were on song throughout their 6-4, 6-4 win, striking six aces and winning 82% of the points on their first serve - neither player was broken on their way to victory in just over an hour.
Dabrowski lifted her first Grand Slam trophy of any kind last year when she paired up with Rohan Bopanna and triumphed in the French Open mixed doubles competition. This year, they chose not to compete together, with Dabrowski pairing up with Pavic to win the Australian Open title in January.
Dabrowski and Pavic are both seeking their third career mixed doubles title, and they await the winner between the No.2 seeds Chan Yung-Jan (Latisha) and Ivan Dodig and No.8 seeds Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Robert Farah.
