LONDON, Great Britain - The ladies qualifying event for Wimbledon is underway, with a mix of veterans and up-and-coming players set to battle for the 16 spots into the Grand Slam’s main draw.

Spain’s Aliona Bolsova, who reached the fourth round of the French Open as a qualifier, is the top seed. She faces a big challenge right off the bat: 15-year-old wildcard Cori “Coco” Gauff, who was the youngest ever finalist at the US Open girls tournament.
