Styling in spring: Vote for your Sunshine Swing fashion favorite

The Indian Wells-Miami fashion game is ranked right after Grand Slams, with new collections being released following a calm post-Australian Open period.

Marija Zivlak of Women’s Tennis Blog gives us her Top 5 picks from the Sunshine Swing, as one WTA legend showed is serious about establishing herself as a major force in the tennis fashion world as well.

Besides keeping herself a threat on the tennis courts, Venus Williams continues to solidify EleVen’s position in the ever more competitive tennis clothing niche.

During the Sunshine Swing, the seven-time Grand Slam champion introduced two collections, Ikat at the BNP Paribas Open and Isola at the Miami Open, and two outfits stand out -- the Ikat Volley Dress and the Isola Vision Tank paired with a simple white pleated skirt.

The Volley Dress captivates with its soft-colored Ikat print and waist-accentuating contrast stripe.

The scoop neck and back design is highlighted by print trim.

Hollow bra straps and asymmetrical texture mesh hip inset of the Isola Vision Tank give a provocative vibe to one of Venus’ Miami Open looks, but a traditional white pleated skirt balances the outfit, making it a perfect blend of conservative and daring WTA fashion.

Ajla Tomljanovic, Amanda Anisimova and Belinda Bencic looked stunning in the tropical twist option of the Nike Spring Maria Dress, a take on tie-dye most famously worn by Maria Sharapova at the Australian Open, only that the Russian wore the light armory blue version.

The sleeveless design is made from stretchy, ribbed fabric combined with mesh sections that function as ventilation channels.

Fila-clad players introduced a variety of outfits at the Premier Mandatory tournaments in March, but the best of them all is Kiki BertensAqua Sole Halter Dress.

The abstract print accented by contrast binding works beautifully with the modern halter design and racerback.

Just like most WTA apparel these days, this dress helps players exhibit their best tennis, as they don’t have to worry about the outfit’s stretch properties, moisture-wicking capabilities, and UPF protection.

Yulia Putintseva‘s logos may be mismatched, but her style is in perfect harmony.

The Kazakh is slaying this pure white mesh back Mizuno tank top and the night indigo version of the adidas Summer Stella McCartney Floral Skirt.

While Adidas-sponsored players are still wearing the Parley collection, Putintseva introduced this brand new skirt with tonal floral design and showed us how a simple white tank and a subtly-detailed skirt can go a long way.
