PROGRAM DESCRIPTION & PARTNERS

The LTA–WTA Coach Inclusion Program, launched in December 2024, represents a landmark collaboration designed to expand opportunities for women pursuing high-performance coaching careers in the United Kingdom. Developed jointly by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), the program provides a structured pathway for aspiring female coaches to gain the professional skills, on-court experience, and leadership development needed to progress within the performance pathway.

The inaugural cohort began its training at the end of 2024, guided by acclaimed WTA coach and educator Nicole Pratt, who delivered the full curriculum throughout the program’s first cycle. Participants engaged in immersive workshops, performance-analysis sessions, mentoring forums, and hands-on training environments designed to mirror the demands of the WTA Tour. The first group of four coaches celebrated their graduation during the 2025 Queen’s Club Championships, marking a milestone moment for women’s coaching development in the UK. Building on that success, Nicole Pratt returned to lead the program again in 2025, ensuring continuity, quality, and the sustained elevation of coaching standards.

Of the four graduates from the 2024–2025 cycle, two have since progressed into national coaching roles, demonstrating the program’s growing impact and the strength of its development pathway. Their advancement underscores the program’s effectiveness in preparing women for meaningful leadership positions within British tennis. As the initiative continues to grow, it is set to further strengthen the pipeline of female coaches and contribute to a more diverse, skilled, and empowered coaching workforce shaping the future of British tennis.
