Mandy Minella first played the BGL BNP Paribas Luxembourg Open main draw in 2008, but had lost in the first round in all 12 appearances in front of her home crowd before this year. Now a 35-year-old mother-of-two, Minella snapped that streak at last with a straight-sets win over Varvara Gracheva.
