Doha: Kenin upsets Samsonova for first Top 20 win since 2020
No.210-ranked wild card Sofia Kenin knocked out Liudmila Samsonova, who was fresh off a run to the Abu Dhabi final last week, in the first round of the Qatar TotalEnergies Open. It was former World No.4 Kenin's first Top 20 win since defeating Petra Kvitova in the 2020 Roland Garros semifinals.
